Morocco has limited rescue services so it is up to each individual/group to be self-reliant. The Toubkal Massif area does have the possibility for a helicopter evacuation if the local authorities deem it necessary. If you think you need to pursue this then talk to one of the refuge guardians who will contact the Gendarmerie in Imlil and arrange the rescue, but do be ready for a on foot evacuation and if the conditions permit assistance of mules and muleteers.
Do make sure that your rescue insurance does cover a helicopter evacuation before heading into the mountains.

Each village will have a stretcher for carrying people from the Mosque to the cemetery. These are generally stored at the Mosque. These stretchers can be used for carrying casualties. It is suggested that the local authorities be contacted to make the necessary arrangements in the event of an accident requiring casualty evacuation
Three defibrillators are located in the valley of Imlil. They are to be found at the Gendarmerie Royal, at the Kasbah du Toubkal and with the local ambulance.
